A trailer axle hub face measurement is a measurement from one hub face to the opposite hub face. For a diagram click here.

Spring center measurement is a measurement from the center of a spring perch to the center of the opposite spring perch. For a diagram click here.

The difference between overslung and underslung is the location of the axle in relation to the trailer springs. If the axle is on top of the springs, it is overslung, and beneath the springs, is underslung.
